• Dr. Trissauna Larson

  DVM

  Dr. Trissauna Larson received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from U.C. Davis in 1996. She then went on to complete a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group. Since 1997, she has been part of the VCA and Elk Grove Animal Hospital teams. Areas of interest include preventative care and feline medicine.

• Dr. Becky Van Riper

  DVM

  Dr. Van Riper received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 1993. She then completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group in 1994. Dr. Van Riper has had the pleasure of working at this hospital since 1994. She has 3 cats, 3 dogs and 2 human children. Her special interests lie in surgery, exotic species and working dogs, although her original interested in veterinary medicine was due to a love of cats.

• Dr. Grace Armstrong

  DVM

  Dr. Armstrong grew up in Southern California before moving to attend UC Santa Barbara. She decided to be a veterinarian at an early age, after reading the James Herriot series and taking care of her various dogs, rats, mice, hamsters, fish, snakes, lizards and birds. She graduated from UCSB in 1990 and went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1995. She has been practicing at VCA Elk Grove Animal Hospital since 2002, and has enjoyed great respect for her fellow team members and wonderful clients and pets. She enjoys being a general practitioner and has special interests in dermatology, internal medicine and dental health care. At home she has a black and white cat, Cleo, and a golden retriever, Jessie, and enjoys gardening, hiking, going to the beach and scuba diving. She has been married to her husband for over 25 years and has one son, who attends school in Santa Cruz.

• Dr. Jana Grant

  DVM

  Dr. Grant grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She also lived in the Washington D.C. area before receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology and Anthropology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg Virginia. She then earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, in 2009. Dr. Grant completed a 1 year internship in small animal medicine at Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center in Sacramento. Her areas of interest include radiology, animal behavior and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening and spending time with her fiance, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
